Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery

We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery. This position is full-time, with night shifts consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts each week. The role includes a holiday rotation and a requirement to work every third weekend. The Maternity Unit has a bed size for Maternity, Nursery, NICU, and a C-section suite. The nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1 during labor, 1:2 in postpartum, and 2:1 in NICU. The patient types include antepartum, laboring mothers, newborns, obstetrics, gynecology, and NICU patients. The volume of deliveries is approximately 50–60 per month, and the facility is recognized as a Level 2 maternal/neonatal center. Candidates must have travel experience within the last 15 months. Professional references from supervisors or managers within 24 months are preferred. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team in a dynamic environment.

Experience: 24 months of Labor & Delivery experience required. License: Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, Intermediate or Advanced EFM

Must-Have:

• 24 months of Labor & Delivery experience
• Experience with medication administration for glucose, magnesium, Pitocin, and insulin
• EPIC experience
• NRP certificate
• Intermediate or Advanced EFM certificate
• STABLE certificate
