Project Controls Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our team at K&A Power Group in Springfield, Massachusetts . Responsibilities Development and maintenance of project schedule and budget and development of related reports. Generate periodic project controls reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly); gather, verify, validate, analyze data and distribute/archieve reports as appropriate. Perform change control: track and manage changes to scope, schedule, and cost baseline; identify, assess, gain approval for, and distribute change requests, notices, or orders in compliance with governance and contract terms. Assist in scheduling and carrying out benchmarking and self‑assessment initiatives; identify and communicate improvement opportunities and best‑practice adoption. Develop and maintain WBS, project schedules, and cost estimates; track cash flow reports, change control documentation, and other project‑controls documents; report project status, perform variance, earned value, and critical path analyses. Work with estimator(s) to create or refine project cost estimates, ensuring inclusion of raw materials, labor rates, manufactured materials/equipment, and current industry data. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, finance, business, or equivalent. Five (5)+ years of experience in a project controls environment. Proficiency in navigation and use of a scheduling tool (Oracle Primavera P6 preferred). Highly engaged self‑starter: identifies problems, proposes solutions, and takes appropriate action. Experience using Business Objects, MS Office Suite, Visio, Power Plan, Maximo, Microsoft Project. Effective oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of project management and controls concepts, scheduling software, financial tools, and spreadsheets. Program or project risk program control experience. Demonstrated experience with schedule integration of multiple projects. Demonstrated knowledge of analyzing, integrating, trending, and forecasting schedule information for projects. Demonstrated knowledge and usage of earned value techniques. Database and reporting experience. Must be able to work a hybrid schedule (Tuesday‑Thursday). #J-18808-Ljbffr
