Our Host/Hostess's primary responsibility is to satisfy our guests by ensuring that guests are greeted warmly upon entry and over the phone. The Host/Hostess guides the guest through the ordering and payment procedures, exceeding their expectations through exceptional food knowledge and hospitality. The Host/Hostess solves small problems as they arise and keeps people as happy as possible and handles all requests in a positive manner. Host/Hostesses must be thoroughly familiar with Lawry's appearance standards, guest interaction procedures, table duties, side work and safety procedures, and the overall operation of our kitchen and dining room.

Essential functions include consistently meeting Lawry's standards as an ambassador of the restaurant with our guests, complying with all of Lawry's employment-related policies and procedures, participating with assigned co-workers in the timely introduction of guests, description of food and beverage selections, verification of meal satisfaction, any resolution of guest issues, and assistance with guests' readiness to depart the restaurant, and respecting and maintaining Company property and assets.

Position qualifications include showing confidence, energy, and enthusiasm with a professional, clean appearance, and a friendly, helpful, approachable demeanor, legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, satisfactory physical and mental health to perform the requirements of the job, and to work with the public in compliance with applicable food service health and safety regulations, and basic knowledge of wines, vintages, and wine pairings, as well as proper handling and storage of wines, and use of bottle opener (i.e. cork-screw and foil-cutter).

Experience required includes at least one (1) year of restaurant service experience in a high volume establishment. Licenses/certifications include current Local/State Food Handler's Training Certifications as required and current Local/State Alcohol Beverage Service Training Certifications as required. Computer skills include basic familiarity with computers, POS systems, calculators, and touch screens. Education preferred includes high school diploma or GED. Some college or culinary education is beneficial. Salary range is $16.90-$17/hour.
