This outpatient facility maintains the clinical infrastructure and established protocols necessary to support clinic-based and procedural gastroenterology locum tenens coverage. The facility is structured to ensure continuity of specialized care for an adult patient population, operating exclusively in an outpatient setting with no call requirements. Full-time locum tenens gastroenterology coverage is sought beginning January 2027 on an ongoing basis, with openness to multiple candidates to meet this need.

Portland, Oregon offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and cultural activities suited to varied interests. Outdoor pursuits include hiking in Forest Park, exploring the Columbia River Gorge, and skiing on Mt. Hood, the state's highest peak located a short drive from the city. Cultural and leisure options include the Portland Art Museum, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, Powell's City of Books, and a well-regarded food scene centered around food carts, breweries, and local markets. The city features bike-friendly infrastructure for neighborhood exploration, and proximity to the Oregon Coast and Willamette Valley extends the range of available day trips for clinicians during time away from clinical responsibilities.

The gastroenterologist will provide outpatient gastroenterology coverage on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, at this on-site facility. The assignment requires 1.0 FTE coverage, consisting of 36-40 patient-facing hours per week, structured as a mix of 1-2 clinic days and 2-3 endoscopy days per week. Clinicians are expected to perform an average of 15 procedures per day on endoscopy days or see 15-18 clinic visits per day on clinic days. No call coverage is required for this locum tenens assignment, and board certification in Gastroenterology is required for consideration.
