Production Manager

: Insight Global is seeking an Assembly Production Manager for a leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturing client. This individual will oversee the plant's largest production operation, managing approximately 180-200 employees across multiple production lines and shifts. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and views reporting, KPIs, and operational data as tools to drive performance rather than administrative tasks. This person will be responsible for production output, labor efficiency, continuous improvement initiatives, supervisor development, safety compliance, and strategic planning across the assembly organization. The successful candidate will bring a proactive leadership style, strong ownership mentality, and a passion for coaching teams while driving world-class manufacturing performance in a dynamic automotive environment.

Responibilities include:
• Lead the plant's largest production area consisting of approximately 180-200 employees
• Manage a two-shift manufacturing operation through supervisors and team leaders
• Review previous day's production performance and identify operational gaps
• Analyze daily production reports from supervisors and implement corrective actions
• Monitor manpower utilization versus budget and production requirements
• Lead daily production meetings covering output, performance, and operational challenges
• Facilitate daily accountability and control meetings with cross-functional teams
• Conduct Gemba walks, layered audits, and shop floor compliance reviews
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and strategic operational enhancements
• Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors to improve leadership effectiveness
• Manage extensive KPI reporting, labor reporting, productivity metrics, and corporate reporting requirements
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and production standards
• Monitor manufacturing effectiveness and efficiency while developing action plans for performance gaps
• Participate in plant leadership activities and support operational strategy execution

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of Production Management experience in a tier 1 manufacturing environment
• Strong reporting and KPI management with a data-driven mindset
• Proven people-first leader coaching and developing supervisors and frontline leaders
• Continuous improvement mindset taking ownership and a proactive approach to process improvement
• Comfortable utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, and production reporting systems
• Advanced analytical skills managing labor efficiency, productivity, and operational performance metrics


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
• Tier 1 Automotive experience
• Lean Manufacturing
• Six Sigma methodology and tools
