Job Title: Production Worker 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift (START IMMEDIATELY)

Job Description

This role involves working in a climate-controlled plastics manufacturing facility to support the production of plastic cups. You will feed product into machines, inspect items for quality, and pack finished goods while maintaining a clean and safe work area. Multiple shifts are available, and you will work a consistent schedule of five days per week with two consecutive days off, which may not fall on Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Feed plastic cups and related products into production machines in a safe and efficient manner.
• Pack finished products according to established procedures and packaging standards.
• Inspect products for defects or quality issues and remove any nonconforming items.
• Maintain attention to detail throughout the shift to ensure consistent product quality.
• Follow all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment, including steel toe shoes or boots.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to support smooth production flow.
• Work collaboratively with team members and follow instructions from supervisors to meet production goals.
• Stand and perform repetitive production tasks for the duration of the shift.

Essential Skills

• Strong attention to detail to identify defects and maintain quality standards.
• Ability to stand for the entirety of an 8-hour or longer shift.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and wear steel toe shoes or boots.
• Reliability and flexibility to work any assigned shift and a schedule that includes two consecutive days off that may not be on weekends.

Work Environment

This role is based in a plastics manufacturing facility that is climate controlled, providing a comfortable temperature year-round. You will work on-site on a full-shift schedule, standing for most of the day and performing repetitive tasks at production and packing stations. Shifts include 1st (7:00 a.m.3:30 p.m.), 2nd (3:00 p.m.11:30 p.m.), and 3rd (11:00 p.m.7:30 a.m.). You will work five days per week with two consecutive days off, which may not be Saturday and Sunday. The environment emphasizes safety and requires the use of steel toe shoes or boots, along with adherence to all safety and operational guidelines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrence, KS.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
