Advanced Practice Provider - Inpatient/Outpatient Neurology

Role Overview Seattle Children’s is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for a hybrid position that coordinates inpatient epilepsy care in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and outpatient general neurology clinic. Key Responsibilities Inpatient: Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) Partner closely with epileptologists to run the EMU. Manage admissions, daily care, medication titration and adjustments, and discharges for pediatric epilepsy patients. Assist in the management of advanced neuromodulation devices such as VNS, RNS, and DBS. Outpatient: General Neurology Clinic Maintain an independent outpatient clinic with a dedicated patient panel. Evaluate and treat a variety of conditions, including first seizures, headaches/migraines, tics, and tremors. Serve as the "Provider of the Day" to assist with urgent neurology triage and immediate clinical needs. Schedule & Expectations 10‑hour shifts as part of a rotating team. Shifts span Monday through Sunday. Evening and weekend clinics may be required based on departmental needs. Includes clinics at regional sites such as Bellevue and Federal Way. Required Education and Experience Master's degree in nursing (pediatric or family nurse practitioner program) or graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program; one year of pediatric or family focused clinical experience. Required Credentials For Nurse Practitioners: active registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in Washington, and current national pediatric or family nurse practitioner certification. For Physician Assistants: active physician assistant licensure in Washington and initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. For all providers: active Drug Enforcement Authority registration; current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Professionals (or PALS) required at hire and maintained throughout employment. Preferred Two years experience in an advanced practice provider role. Two years experience in pediatric health care. Compensation Range $137,321.42 - $201,961.62 per year (based on 2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by equity, skills, experience, and expertise.
