Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Core Lab

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for its core lab at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring accurate test results in a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established departmental criteria
Perform routine and complex technical procedures following Standard Operating Procedures
Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
Conduct preventative maintenance, quality control, and reagent evaluation procedures
Generate accurate and timely test results to support patient care

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
One year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
ASCP or AMT certification preferred
Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills

Compensation: $6,000 sign-on bonus (external candidates only)
