About the Position

Job Title: Medical Surgical - Neuro Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of med/surg or neurovascular acute care preferred License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Must have a vehicle for this assignment - NIHSS certification required Description: First-time travelers are welcome. This position may float between units based on skill sets. On-call duties are required. If a shift is canceled, staff needs to remain available on call. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Block schedules are not required. Patient ratios are expected to be 1:4. Special requirements include NIHSS certification and preferred experience in med/surg or neurovascular acute care. If assigned to float to designated areas, travelers will receive an incentive for hours worked. Facilities may communicate floating arrangements as needed. Complete orientation is necessary for the role. Candidates will be expected to manage a range of patient diagnoses and special procedures. Proficient neuro skills are required for patient care. Travelers may float to neighboring facilities as needed. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. All requests for time off must be made upfront before submission. Inflexibility beyond the contracted schedule may lead to contract termination.
