About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submission Certifications: ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Must-Have: - Fetal Heart Monitoring experience - Strong experience with LDRP - Required certifications Description: The unit accepts first-time travelers. Locals are accepted, and there may be a rate difference. Care provided includes both mother and baby care as part of the LDRP unit. The unit had approximately 100 births last year, indicating a less busy environment. However, the unit does handle higher acuity and high-risk cases. Strong experience is essential due to the autonomy required for the department. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1 to 1:2. There is a requirement to float to other departments as needed. Weekend scheduling is based on departmental needs. Unit systems include Centricity and Meditech Magic. Pre-start modules must be completed online prior to starting. Candidates should use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as their browser for modules.
