Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Job description:
We are looking for a full-time medical assistant. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
We can also offer Part-Time 1-6pm, Mon-Fri for 3 months then start full-time in January 2026
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history and medication list
- Update medical records and HEDIS measures
- Take vitals and perform EKGs or Holters
- Assist during medical examinations
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Call patient to give results
- Occasionally take calls for sick patients and when refills are needed
- Occasionally fill out forms for medication prior authorization and diabetic supplies
Skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish required
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Experience with EMR software, E-clinical Works preferred
Salary based on experience.
