Hybrid Registered Dietitian – Part-Time | Inpatient Rehab Hospital

Overview

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a motivated and passionate Clinical Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join our team at a leading inpatient rehabilitation hospital. This role is ideal for a dietitian looking for flexibility, meaningful patient interaction, and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic interdisciplinary care team.

Schedule & Compensation

• Hours: 12–15 hours per week, only 1 on-site visit required per week. Remaining hours can be completed remotely.
  

• Flexibility: Choose the days and times that work best for your schedule
  

• Compensation: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour (based on experience)
  

• Additional Perks: Travel time is compensated at the same hourly rate, in addition to onsite working hours
  

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients at nutritional risk, following facility protocols and evidence-based guidelines
  

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans to support recovery and optimize patient outcomes
  

• Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and families, focusing on disease management, recovery, and prevention of readmissions
  

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the care team to deliver coordinated patient-centered care
  

• Ensure documentation is thorough, accurate, and timely within the electronic medical record system
  

• Monitor patient progress, reviewing labs, weights, and clinical status to adjust interventions as needed
  

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and serve as a nutrition resource for hospital staff
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program
  

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  

• Current/active state dietitian license (or eligibility)
  

• Minimum of 1–3 years of recent clinical experience in acute or rehab hospital settings (required)
  

• Experience with enteral/parenteral nutrition strongly preferred
  

• Strong communication, critical thinking, and time-management skills
  

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams
