Licensed Professional Counselor

Therapist PositionThe Community Service Board of Middle Georgia's Adult Outpatient Clinic is seeking a qualified individual to serve as our next Therapist. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling intake assessments related to delivery of mental health care to assigned clients at the designated site and will provide resources to patients for their individual needs.Responsibilities of the Therapist:Provides counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to clients and families as appropriate to the position using evidenced-based interventions as needed and appropriate per diagnosis and session content; prepares treatment plans, biopsychosocial, discharge plans, required screenings and assessments, per governing and regulatory bodies, and follow-up care programs; provides therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as requiredComplete assessments, treatment plans, reassessments, and progress notes within required timeframesParticipate in crisis assessments, interventions, referrals, and follow-up servicesEnsure documentation, authorizations, and required signatures are complete and currentCollects data about patients through interview, case history, and/or observational techniques; evaluates data to identify causes of problems and to determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other specialistsProvides casework management of a specialized caseload, as appropriate to the individual position's requirements; performs research and case assessments; prepares individualized studies for admission, placement, and/or discharge, as applicableProvides and/or arranges for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for patients or clients in a crisis condition and for those with serious disturbance problemsFollows up to determine reliability and validity of treatment used; makes recommendations regarding modification to services and service deliveryConsults with other legal and treatment agencies and individuals in relation to patient/client records, rights, and responsibilitiesConsults with other therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework; refers clients to appropriate service agencies as requiredMaintain licensure, attend required training and staff meetings, and uphold agency policies and professional standardsOther duties as assignedHere are some of the things we require:Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the field of psychology, social work, counseling education, human services or a related field of studyActive Georgia license to provide mental health services (LPC, LAPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)Valid Georgia Driver's LicenseEffective verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communitiesAbility to work independently and in collaboration with othersExperience with Microsoft 365 Office ProductsAbility to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordinglyHere's what would put you over the top:2-4+ years of clinically supervised counseling, assessment, and crisis intervention experienceBenefits of Working with CSB of Middle GA:Medical, Dental & Vision Plan Options!Generous Paid-Time Off Policy with Flexibility Companywide!401(k) Plan with Company Match!Short- & Long-Term Disability Plans!Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)!Paid Training Time!Opportunities for Career Growth & Advancement!& So Much More!At this time, CSB of Middle Georgia will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
