Patient Access Rep - Express Care Clinic (Weekends Only)

Job Description And Position Requirements Scheduled Weekly Hours: 8 Work Shift: 8 hours per week, alternating every other Saturday and Sunday. Summary of the Job The Patient Access Representative is primarily responsible for completing an efficient and organized check‑in/check‑out for patients. Responsibilities include: Ensuring throughput and customer service are top priorities. Scheduling appointments and verifying insurance during registration as appropriate. Collecting accurate information from patients while ensuring confidentiality of this information and that patients are aware of their rights as determined by HIPAA regulations and company policy. Answering multi‑line phones and directing all calls in a polite and courteous manner. Collecting copayments and patient balances. Scanning or filing all documents into the Medical Record as needed. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to operate a computer, copier, and fax machine. Must possess good communication skills and a great deal of patience. Medical office experience preferred. Should have previous medical terminology knowledge. Must be willing to learn all aspects of the office and be a team player. Must be able to work well with others in a very busy environment. Must maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Physical Demands Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 10 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
