Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (12:00–20:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions in a PACU setting
• Monitor and assess patient vitals, pain levels, and recovery progress following anesthesia
• Maintain a standard patient ratio of 1:2, with the ability to accommodate up to 1:4 during overflow situations
• Participate in an on-call rotation every third weekend, with call shifts covering either 7a–7p or 7p–7a
• Adhere to facility emergency response protocols, which may include assignment to an emergency team during declared events

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU specialty
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA certifications required)
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as verified by address on driver's license)
• First-time travelers will not be accepted for this position
• Current NURSYS report required and must be dated within 4 weeks of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a PACU or surgical recovery environment
• Familiarity with overflow patient management and flexible patient ratio environments
