Manager, Marketing

We are seeking a dynamic and data-driven Manager, Donor Marketing to join our team at New Your Blood Center Enterprises / CBCKC. In this role, you will partner with colleagues across the Enterprise to implement national campaigns at a local level. You will also plan and execute local campaigns, promotions, and events for blood and platelet donors, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience that drives donor retention and satisfaction. Supervision Exercised This position does supervise staff. Supervision Received Under general direction of Director, Donor Marketing. Primary Duties, Responsibilities Or Activities Required By Job Campaign Implementation Collaborate with colleagues across Donor Engagement and the organization to lead and/or localize and implement national marketing campaigns. Tailor strategies to meet the unique needs of the local community while aligning with the Enterprise goals. Event Planning Organize and manage events for blood and platelet donors, including appreciation events and special initiatives. Ensure these events are well-executed and contribute to donor retention, collection, and recruitment goals. Data-Driven Decision Making Analyze daily blood and platelet collection numbers to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Use data to drive marketing strategies that enhance donor engagement and collection success. Local Partnerships Seek out and cultivate local partnerships with businesses, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support the collection goals and donor retention efforts. Media Relations Cultivate and manage relationships with local and regional media outlets. Serve as a spokesperson for the organization, comfortable speaking to the media and representing the organization in interviews, press conferences, and other public forums. Collaboration with Donor Teams Work closely with Donor Recruitment and Collections teams to ensure donor centers and blood drives are successful. Align marketing strategies with operational needs to maximize impact. Reporting and Analysis Prepare regular reports on campaign performance, event outcomes, media engagement, and partnership success. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Other Duties as Assigned Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the overall success of Donor Engagement initiatives. Other Secondary Functions Depending on the organizational structure, staffing levels, and availability of direct reports, this role may assume responsibility for functions typically performed by a Coordinator, Specialist, or other supporting team member. This may include direct execution of day-to-day activities, project coordination, operational support, reporting, and other responsibilities necessary to ensure continuity and achievement of departmental goals. Required Minimum Education & Experience Education Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Related Experience 5 - 7 years of experience in marketing, preferably in health-care, nonprofit, or blood services. Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to the requirements above that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge Knowledge of traditional and marketing strategies and trends. Familiarity with the local service areas based on the geographic location of this role. Knowledge of a variety of software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, project management system). Media Relations Demonstrated experience in cultivating media relationships and confidently speaking to the media, serving as an organizational spokesperson. Event Planning Experience in planning and managing events, ensuring successful execution and positive donor engagement. Attention to Detail Meticulous attention to detail in all work processes, ensuring accuracy and high-quality outcomes. Stakeholder Interaction Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and external stakeholders in a courteous, respectful, and sensitive manner, particularly in diverse environments. Training and Coaching Ability to train and coach others within the organization on marketing programs and related communications, ensuring consistent and effective application across teams.
