Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Cardiac Cath Lab environment handling 4–20 cases per day at a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for patients presenting with diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital conditions, TAVR, MitraClip, and peripheral vascular cases
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips and titrate drips as needed during procedures
• Serve as circulator for regular and emergent cases, working alongside Radiologic Technologists (RTRs) in 3- or 4-person call teams
• Participate in weeknight call (6–8 shifts/month including primary and backup call) and rotating weekend call approximately every 6–7 weekends
• Collaborate with charge nurse and cardiologist physicians who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Experience titrating drips in a procedural or critical care setting
• Ability to fulfill call requirements including weeknight, weekend, and holiday call shifts
• Must be able to pass a drug screen; position is located on a drug-free campus

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab (separate from IR and EP environments)
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR and GE or Philips monitoring equipment
• Experience in interventional radiology (IR) that may allow for occasional cross-coverage
