Charge Nurse Surgery

UCHealth is seeking a Charge Nurse for Surgery (Nights) to coordinate patient care and lead the OR nursing team in a fast-paced, academic medical setting. This role oversees shift operations, assigns staff, supports surgeons and anesthesiologists, and ensures adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. The Charge Nurse mentors nurses, supports staff development, and promotes a collaborative, patient-first culture. Responsibilities include managing patient flow, responding to emergencies, communicating with families, documenting care accurately, and partnering with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality surgical outcomes.
