Join Our Dynamic Team as a Night RN for MedSurg/PCU!

Job Description:
- Work in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with a collaborative and supportive team.
- Bring your expertise in MedSurg/PCU and flexibility to provide exceptional care across various departments.
- Must hold an ACTIVE WA nursing license and be ready to embrace the upcoming holiday season with limited time off.


Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and address patient and significant others' educational needs using effective modalities.
- Ensure patient safety through preventive measures (e.g., side rails, restraints, safe equipment use).

- Demonstrate proficiency in operating all equipment within the PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg areas.
- Troubleshoot and follow procedures for essential equipment repair, and access manuals when necessary.
- Implement infection control and isolation procedures, maintaining thorough documentation.
- Adhere to standard precautions consistently.
- Maintain accurate records of patient status, nursing interventions, and responses during your shift.
- Document charge accurately and ensure timely completion of physician orders.
- Conduct a 24-hour check of orders as per shift duties.
- Provide thorough and accurate change-of-shift reports to oncoming staff.
- Communicate effectively with other departments for seamless patient care.
- Report critical lab values to physicians promptly, in accordance with policy.
- Maintain and restock emergency carts, rooms, and general supplies.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned.
