Dulce, New Mexico is located right on the Colorado-New Mexico border. It's a quaint town, with a population just under 3,000. It's the tribal headquarters of the Jicarilla Apache Reservation. It's also the alleged location of a secret underground alien base which is not a story related to this position. Life in Dulce offers a rural feel with a very affordable cost of living.

Requirements

• Leadership in weight reduction/exercise program as needed
• Conduct appropriate nutritional assessment and pertinent nutritional history
• Develop care plan for patients identified as nutritional risk
• Record clinical data in electronic patient's medical record
• Provide nutritional consultation on phone or home visit as appropriate
• Provide physician referred patients with therapeutic diet counseling
• Participate on multidisciplinary teams for care of patients with chronic illness as required
• Provide nutrition consultation service to community related programs that are requesting nutritional consultation as clinic schedule allows
• Provide in-service training to Client staff as needed.
• Comply with all Client Privacy Act, HIPAA, and Ethical regulations.
• Submit monthly narrative reports to the Director of Public Health Nursing.

Qualifications

• Must have a current nutrition license in the state of New Mexico.
• Must be registered by the American Dietetic Association as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
• Must have degree or diploma from a professional registered nutrition program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed.
• Must be a Certified Diabetes Educator.
• Must have and maintain Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
