Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary: The ICU Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, ensuring their safety and well-being through comprehensive assessments and interventions. They collaborate closely with the healthcare team to deliver coordinated, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ health status and identify care needs through thorough data collection and analysis.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient outcomes and clinical standards.
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses and adjusting care as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and family members to coordinate patient care and facilitate discharge planning.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and care standards.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred.
