AP & AR Specialist / NEWBURGH, NYJOB DESCRIPTION: A growing metal fabrication company based in Newburgh, NY is seeking a full-time employee to fill the position of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. The applicant will ensure the accuracy of our general ledger, timely vendor payments, invoicing of customers, timely management of receivables, and assist the Controller with general accounting tasks.QUALIFICATIONSProven experience in accounting. Ability to navigate digital MRP/ERP systems (experience with ABIS Adjutant is a major plus). High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Understanding of General Ledger codes and expense categorization. Must have a can-do, customer service-first attitude. Commitment to the Company's mission and core values.MAIN JOB TASKS & REQUIREMENTSAccounts Payable ResponsibilitiesEnter vendor bills into ABIS Adjutant with proper GL coding and expense categorization.Perform 3-way matching of vendor invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents to ensure accurate payments.Process weekly check runs and ACH payments in coordination with the Controller.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve missing invoices, pricing discrepancies, or account issues.Manage credit card and bank account reconciliations.Maintain vendor files and ensure W-9s, Certificates of Insurance, and required documentation are up to date.Accounts Receivable ResponsibilitiesProcess customer invoices accurately and ensure timely billing.Monitor Accounts Receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.Conduct professional collection calls and email correspondence to ensure timely customer payments.Post daily cash receipts, including checks, ACH payments, and credit card transactions, to customer accounts.Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies or short payments.Assist with customer account inquiries and payment-related issues.Maintain organized digital files for customer records and documentation.BENEFITSCompetitive pay ($70,000 - $80,000)Paid vacation and holidays401(k) with discretionary employer matchBenefits: Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr Metalwyze Inc
