As Project Manager - Physician Wellness, you'll organize and manage broad-based departmental initiatives from planning through implementation. You'll partner with stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget, while supporting clear communication, effective decision-making, and continuous improvement.The Project Manager for Physician Wellness advances clinician well-being through coordinated, data-driven initiatives aligned with the AMA Joy in Medicine framework. This role partners with Human Resources and Quality & Safety to support assessment, implementation, and continuous improvement of wellness strategies that reduce burnout, strengthen engagement, and promote an efficient practice environment.Coordinate and implement physician wellness initiatives aligned with organizational strategy and AMA domains as identified by TCPO Wellness & Engagement CouncilManage projects, timelines, and deliverables across multiple initiatives as directed by the TCPO Wellness & Engagement CouncilCollaborate across various wellbeing committees, structures and forums for trust building, information sharing, enabling teamwork and transparencyServe as a trusted resource to clinicians regarding wellness programs and servicesPromote engagement and awareness of support resources in collaboration with system HR programs and initiativesSupport data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement effortsAdminister and maintain records that emerge from the TCPO Wellness & Engagement Council (including but not limited to-minutes, notes, coordination of meetings, related forums)Content coordinator for, production and distribution of a wellness newsletterResponsibilitiesDevelops, maintains, and administers detailed project plans that identify activities, tasks, risks, issues, resource requirements, and implementation timelinesProvides regular project-status reports and ensures project documentation is complete, accurate, timely, and aligned with established standardsFacilitates project meetings and communicates effectively with team members, internal and external customers, leadership, and technical and nontechnical stakeholdersAssesses project scope, duration, complexity, and priorities to determine staffing and resource needsEstablishes project governance and leads steering committee and work-team meetingsManages project scope, cost, timelines, risks, dependencies, and project metricsPlans and executes transitions of system responsibilities to support staff and leaders at project completionObtains, validates, analyzes, and manages data from internal and external sources to support informed decision-making and reporting needsEvaluates current practices, workflows, user needs, systems, and potential solutions to identify process improvementsAnalyzes project impacts and dependencies across departments and recommends modifications to processes or system designsConducts literature, benchmark, and best-practice research to inform project planning and improvement effortsRepresents the department on designated committees and task forces and resolves project-related concerns through effective facilitation and communicationBuilds productive stakeholder relationships, identifies problems promptly, and escalates concerns to leadership when appropriatePrepares baseline project metrics and recommends appropriate measurement, validation, and sample-size methodsQualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, finance, business administration, biology, or another business, health care, or science-related field requiredFour years of business, project, finance, or health care experience requiredMaster's degree in computer science, finance, business administration, biology, or another business, health care, or science-related field may substitute for two years of required experience3–5 years of experience in HR, healthcare operations, or program coordination is highly preferredProficient in MSOffice suite-Word, Excel, Outlook Powerpoint, Teams highly preferredHealthcare or physician-facing experience preferredAbout UsSince 1954, Texas Children's has been leading the charge in patient care, education and research to accelerate health care for children and women around the world.
