Strategic Advisor IV
Great Place To Work
Strategic Advisor IV
The Strategic Advisor IV is a senior individual contributor within the Global Advisory Services business unit, responsible for owning and leading the delivery of client engagements. This role requires consulting expertise, experience in organizational transformation, people analytics, and/or employee experience, and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and agility.
We are looking for someone who has a track record of independently managing multiple client engagements; translating large data into insights that change how organizations think and act; and engaging credibly with C-suite and senior executive audiences. Beyond individual delivery, this person raises the bar for the broader team—setting standards for quality, sharing knowledge and approaches that elevate colleagues, and innovating for impact. They bring a positive, collaborative energy and a deep commitment to Great Place To Work®'s mission, and they thrive in dynamic environments where they are expected to lead through complexity, not just manage through it.
You will:
- Independently own and deliver complex client engagements while effectively operating within broader leadership direction – balancing priorities across multiple projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, customer mindset, and strategic alignment
- Analyze large volumes of quantitative and qualitative data into clear, compelling insights and strategic recommendations, crafting executive-ready narratives that enable informed decision-making and organizational change
- Apply Great Place To Work® methodologies, frameworks, and points of view with deep fluency, integrating them with broader organizational development, business strategy, and people analytics principles to deliver differentiated, forward-looking client insights
- Lead client meetings, executive workshops, discovery sessions, and focus groups with strong executive presence, shaping conversations and influencing senior stakeholders
- Lead or co-lead internal initiatives that strengthen the team's capabilities – developing high-impact improvements, innovations, and best practices
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, write, and refine high-quality client deliverables (reports, presentations, executive talking points, strategic recommendations) with minimal oversight
- Ensure all client-facing materials are polished, professional, and compliant with Brand Standards and IP Guidelines
- Anticipate current and emerging client needs with a forward-looking lens, proactively surfacing insights, identifying risks before they become issues, and shaping recommendations that position the team as a trusted, indispensable partner
- Shape and drive a unified, high-quality client experience through thoughtful communication, cross-functional collaboration, proactive risk management, and operational discipline
- Navigate competing priorities, stakeholder dynamics, and ambiguity, drawing on strong judgment and deep knowledge of advisory to find the right path forward, even when there isn't a clear playbook
- 20% travel; includes international travel as required
Required qualifications include:
- 7+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, or complex project/program environments, with a demonstrated track record of independently leading engagements or significant workstreams
- Extensive client-facing experience with proven ability to own full engagement lifecycles and deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal direction
- Deep quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills, moving beyond surface-level reporting to synthesize complex datasets into actionable recommendations that influence executive decision-making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft and present executive-ready materials with authority and credibility to senior audiences
- Applied AI fluency, using generative AI or analytics tools to accelerate insight development responsibly
- Strong self-direction, collaborative instincts, and adaptability, with sharp judgment and an unwavering commitment to quality
- A natural inclination to elevate others, sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and investing in colleagues' development
- Alignment with Great Place to Work® Values, guiding behaviors, and Mission
- Demonstrated curiosity, learning agility, and openness to feedback
- U.S.-based only position
Preferred qualifications include:
- Background in Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, People Analytics, and/or employee experience
- Experience leading facilitation, executive workshops, or qualitative research efforts
- Ability to connect employee experience to broader business outcomes and articulate that connection to senior leaders
- Experience developing or improving internal methodologies, frameworks, or tools that raise the quality or scalability of consulting delivery
