Join Our Team as an X-Ray Technician
We are seeking skilled ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technicians to become part of our dedicated team in Fayetteville, AR.
Position OverviewThis role involves conducting x-ray examinations, utilizing your understanding of anatomy and physiology to assist with patient movement and body mechanics. You will operate diagnostic equipment, develop images, and prepare examination rooms with the necessary tools and supplies. Additionally, you will perform Medical Assistant tasks as needed.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe following duties outline the primary expectations for this role, though additional responsibilities may be assigned:
- Warmly welcome patients as they enter the waiting area, examination room, or x-ray facility.
- Maintain clear communication with patients regarding wait times and guide them through the treatment process.
- Address patient concerns and seek assistance in emergency or hazardous situations.
- Conduct follow-up calls promptly and with urgency.
- Support front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out processes when required.
- Accurately gather and document patient vital signs, weight, brief medical history, current medications, allergies, and other relevant information.
- Assist with patient transfers and procedures under the direct supervision of a provider.
- Adhere to documentation protocols and complete all necessary paperwork related to patient visits.
- Perform timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards in examinations.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while following established clinical and regulatory safety protocols, including radiation protection techniques.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the Manager or on-duty provider.
- Take responsibility for enhancing your diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills through external educational resources.
- Maintain current licensure and certification for the facility's radiology equipment.
Full-time employees will work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, which includes 12-hour shifts on weekdays and every other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) staff will be scheduled as needed.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS Certification.
- AR State X-Ray License.
- Preferred: ARRT Certification.
- Preferred: Experience as a Medical Assistant.
