Controls Engineer II

Job Title and Location Controls Engineer II – Lake Orion, MI (on-site) Job ID: R0115510 Responsibilities Design, implement, and document controls systems for various types of automated equipment. Troubleshoot robot controllers, ladder logic, electrical control devices, mechanical units, transfer devices, and peripheral equipment. Perform machine power‑up, debug, and programming. Ensure equipment is designed and programmed to specifications using standard techniques and approaches. Provide general support for control system integration and operation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, an Associate’s degree with over two years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience. Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry, is strongly preferred. Solid experience with Siemens TIA Portal is strongly preferred. Experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, mechatronics, motion control, vision systems, and/or programming. Experience with CAD (AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks). Ability to understand electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings. Travel up to 35% to 50% to customer sites and other JR locations.
