Full Time Registered Nurse Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct patient care, as well as supervising and coordinating the work of other nursing staff. The RN must be proficient in nursing theory and practice, and be able to apply this knowledge to the care of patients of all ages and with a variety of health conditions.The RN will be responsible for the following duties:Administering medications and treatmentsMonitoring patient vital signs and recording observationsProviding patient education and counselingCoordinating patient care with other members of the healthcare teamMaintaining patient recordsAdhering to all hospital policies and proceduresThe RN must be a licensed registered nurse in the state in which they are employed. They must also have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent. Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.The RN must be able to work independently and as part of a team. They must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. They must also be able to work under pressure and handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.The RN is an important member of the healthcare team, and plays a vital role in providing quality patient care.
