SQL Developer (Queries)Location: Jersey City, NJ-HybridDuration: 6+ Months8+ years of experience requiredThe OpportunityAs a part of Reference data modeling team, you will use the latest technology stack and will have an opportunity to develop and implement new solutions. Being responsible and accountable for gathering and delivery of functional and non-functional requirements in accordance with the Pershing-X standards and timeframe. Review existing business requirements and ensure they contain appropriate design and architectural components support the deployment of projects.Your key responsibilities:Design, implement and manage the SQL queries to be consumed by multiple stakeholders.Detect and resolve data quality and integrity issues in the dataset.Enhance or create new logical and physical data model to meet business needs, applying data modeling standards and naming conventions.Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation meets performance expectations.Test and debug the deliverable code to ensure they function correctly.Develop data mapping from existing systems to the new data structures.Experience in data migration using the industry standard tools.Experience in SQL tuning and optimization using explain plan and trace files.Partitioning and indexing strategy for optimal performanceMust have a good verbal and written communication skill with strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Experience in understanding complex source system data structures preferably in Financial ServicesAbility to work with minimal guidance in a time critical environment.Work with business stakeholders and Agile scrum teams on design, definition, documentation, and implementation of features for new applications and data structureSkills for success:8+ years of experience working in different database technologiesStrong hands on knowledge of SQLRun query plans, query tuning and schema refinement.Help with database migrations and building database scriptsWork with change and release management teamsExperience with CI/CD and Liquibase is a plusExperience with cloud platforms (Snowflake) is a plusWhat we look for:Strong analytical and problem solving skills.A self-starter, independent thinker with ambition and passionExcellent inter-personal, communication, collaboration and presentation skillsTakes responsibility for continuous self-learning.Takes the lead and make decisions in critical times and tough circumstances.High level of integrity and honesty.
