About the Company :

Chardan is an independent, full-service investment bank focused on companies at the forefront of innovation. The firm provides capital raising, M&A and strategic advisory, equity research, corporate access, and institutional sales and trading services across healthcare, technology, digital assets, AI infrastructure, and other emerging-growth sectors. Our Institutional Equities team works closely with Research, Corporate Access, Trading, Capital Markets, and Investment Banking to deliver differentiated ideas, market intelligence, investor access, and execution capabilities to institutional clients.

Institutional Equity Sales Associate

Chardan is seeking an Institutional Equity Sales Associate to support the firm’s institutional sales team and develop into an independent client-coverage role.

This is a commercially oriented position. Working alongside senior salespeople and across Research, Trading, Corporate Access, Capital Markets, and Investment Banking, the Associate will build the product knowledge, market judgment, and client relationships required to grow within institutional equities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and responsive, intellectually curious, and able to synthesize information into relevant, timely client outreach. Success in the role requires exceptional follow-through, sound judgment, and a genuine interest in public markets and institutional investor relationships.

Job Responsibilities :

Client Coverage and Idea Marketing

  • Support senior salespeople in covering institutional investors and responding to client requests involving research, analyst access, corporate access, trading, and other Chardan resources.
  • Prepare for client interactions by reviewing relevant research, account history, holdings, investment strategy, prior engagement, and current areas of interest.
  • Review Chardan research and market commentary to identify actionable ideas, catalysts, and sector themes, and match them with relevant institutional investors.
  • Draft concise, personalized outreach supporting research launches, earnings updates, thematic reports, conferences, and other significant events.
  • Attend analyst calls and selected client meetings, capture key takeaways, and coordinate timely follow-up in accordance with applicable supervisory and compliance requirements.
  • Gradually assume responsibility for selected accounts as product knowledge, judgment, licensing, and client readiness develop.

Corporate Access and Events

  • Support analyst marketing, non-deal roadshows, management meetings, conferences, investor days, thematic calls, field trips, and other client events.
  • Identify appropriate investors and coordinate invitations, schedules, logistics, attendance, meeting requests, and follow-up with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in selected meetings and events to deepen knowledge of clients, companies, analysts, and Chardan’s broader platform.

Account Intelligence and Sales Operations

  • Maintain accurate CRM records covering client interactions, research readership, meeting participation, investment interests, coverage assignments, and follow-up activity.
  • Monitor account developments and help prepare account plans that identify opportunities to deepen relationships and expand engagement with Chardan.
  • Build and maintain Excel-based trackers and dashboards supporting client planning, event targeting, broker reviews, and sales activity.

Job Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-3+ years of relevant experience in institutional equities, equity research, sales and trading, corporate access, investor relations, investment banking, asset management, or a comparable client-facing financial-services environment.
  • Strong interest in public markets, equity research, and institutional investor relationships.
  • Ability to synthesize research, identify its commercial relevance, and communicate key points clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong professional judgment and discretion.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and able to manage competing priorities with consistent follow-through.
  • Commercially curious, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable taking ownership.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, CRM systems, broker-vote tools, or corporate-access platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across Research, Sales, Trading, Corporate Access, Capital Markets, and Investment Banking.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain required securities licenses within the timeframe established by the firm.
