Travel Operations Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Travel Operations Specialist based in Switzerland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally distributed operations team responsible for delivering seamless travel experiences for colleagues attending international meetings and industry events. In this role, you will coordinate travel logistics, manage vendor relationships, and help optimize travel policies while ensuring operational efficiency and cost control. Youll collaborate with cross‑functional teams across multiple countries, supporting both day‑to‑day travel needs and large‑scale event planning. The position offers a dynamic, remote working environment where strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive problem‑solving are highly valued. Accountabilities Coordinate and manage travel arrangements for colleagues and guests attending company meetings, conferences, and industry events worldwide. Respond promptly to travel-related questions, resolve issues, and provide guidance on travel policies and procedures. Collaborate with internal business services teams to support the planning and execution of corporate events and travel logistics. Build and maintain strong relationships with travel vendors, ensuring high service standards and effective supplier performance. Review travel invoices for accuracy while managing payments, refunds, credits, and unused ticket tracking. Monitor travel spending, policy compliance, sustainability metrics, and travel trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Maintain accurate records of travel credits, airline loyalty points, and operational reporting to support efficient travel management. Requirements Bachelors degree in Business, a technical discipline, or a related field. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across international teams. Demonstrated sense of responsibility, accountability, and ownership when managing operational tasks and projects. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to learn new systems, technologies, and software quickly. Self‑motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fully remote environment. Previous experience in travel operations or the travel industry is advantageous but not essential. Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to four times per year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
