Senior AI Software Engineer

We're looking for a senior engineer to build AI features that work reliably in production. This
role combines software engineering, data pipelines, and information retrieval. You'll
develop systems that turn varied data sources into useful knowledge and help teams
measure how well AI applications perform for real users.

What you'll do

Build and maintain AI workflows that use large language models, tools, and multiple
processing steps.

Create pipelines that ingest, validate, update, and organize documents and
structured data.

Improve search and retrieval across text, metadata, and vector-based indexes.
Measure output quality, response time, and operating cost; use those findings to
improve the systems.

Work with other engineers to integrate AI capabilities into applications and resolve
production issues.

Develop tools that make engineering workflows more effective.

What you'll bring

At least seven years of software engineering experience, including three or more
years in AI, machine learning, or data engineering.
Experience building and operating LLM applications used by real customers or
internal teams.

Strong Python skills and experience with modern API development.
Experience with production data pipelines, search systems or vector databases,
and evaluation of AI output.

Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

U.S. citizenship, required for the federal contract work associated with this role.

Experience with knowledge graphs, advanced retrieval techniques, streaming data, or AI
agent tooling is a plus.
