Work Environment

This role operates in a fully remote telehealth setting, allowing counselors to connect with clients across Lockport, Illinois, and beyond. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
• Provide a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy tailored to diverse client needs.
• Engage with clients during virtual sessions, utilizing video conferencing tools to foster a supportive and therapeutic environment.
• Maintain meticulous electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide holistic care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay informed about advancements in mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCPC in this role will work predominantly with adults seeking assistance for a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, necessitating a culturally competent approach to therapy that respects their values and experiences.

Qualifications

• Possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Hold an active and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license in Illinois.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct counseling services, ideally within a clinical or outpatient setting.
• Demonstrate knowledge of ethical guidelines and relevant legal regulations in counseling practice.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to foster therapeutic relationships with clients from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as trauma recovery, substance use issues, family dynamics, or couples therapy is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other digital communication tools.
• Experience working collaboratively in a team-based healthcare environment.

Compensation and Benefits

• The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with the caseload and experience.
