SERVICE TEAM — METEORA

Meteora is seeking thoughtful, warm, and highly attentive individuals to join our front-of-house team.

Meteora is a Michelin-starred restaurant by Chef Jordan Kahn in Los Angeles. The experience is rooted in nature, seasonality, and the elemental qualities of cooking, expressed through food, beverage, design, sound, and hospitality.

Our service team plays an essential role in translating this experience for our guests. We are looking for someone who brings genuine warmth to the dining room, communicates with confidence and grace, and takes pride in creating an experience that feels personal, intuitive, and seamless.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service throughout the guest experience.

• Develop a strong understanding of Meteora’s food, beverage, ingredients, techniques, and overall philosophy.

• Serve each course with precision and confidence, offering thoughtful and detailed descriptions of the ingredients, preparation, origin, and inspiration behind each dish, bringing its story to life in a way that feels natural and engaging.

• Clearly and naturally communicate menu descriptions, beverage offerings, and the broader story behind the experience.

• Guide guests through menu and beverage selections while remaining attentive to dietary restrictions, preferences, and special requests.

• Maintain awareness of pacing, table maintenance, and the overall rhythm of service.

• Work closely with captains, bussers, sommeliers, kitchen team members, and management to create a seamless experience.

• Accurately enter orders and maintain familiarity with the restaurant’s POS system.

• Assist with opening, closing, side work, polishing, resetting, and maintaining dining room readiness.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and polished section and service station throughout service.

• Anticipate guest needs with discretion and attention to detail.

• Handle guest concerns thoughtfully and communicate issues promptly to management.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace policies.

• Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and supportive team environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in fine dining or a hospitality-driven restaurant environment preferred.

• A genuine interest in food, wine, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences.

• Warm, confident, and professional communication.

• Strong verbal communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to learn detailed culinary information and convey it naturally to guests.

• Strong attention to detail and an ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

• Curiosity and a willingness to continually learn about Meteora’s evolving menu and beverage program.

• Ability to take direction, receive feedback, and work collaboratively.

• Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods and safely carry trays, plates, and service equipment.
