Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Great River Health System (Direct) Program - Main.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Some pediatrics experience preferred.

Unit Details: - Assesses, treats, and cares for patients with breathing disorders. - Assumes primary responsibility for respiratory care modalities, including supervision of respiratory care students. - Initiates and conducts therapeutic procedures; maintains patient records; and selects, assembles, checks, and operates equipment. - Patient population includes neonate, infant, toddler, school-age, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend is required. - On-call required once every scheduling period. - May cover other shifts as needed. - One mandatory low-census shift per week may be implemented depending on patient load.

14 days maximum time off

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
