Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist in Eureka, California. This position involves providing radiation therapy treatments in an acute care hospital setting. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and adherence to clinical protocols to ensure optimal patient care.
Job Details:
- Shift Hours: 8 hours per day
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours

- Required Qualifications: CA license in hand, 1 year of radiation therapy experience, ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, specific experience with Epic charting system, familiarity with radiation treatments for breast, prostate, lung, and head and neck cancers, and experience with special procedures such as SRS, SBRT, and IMRT.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous community hospital experience, experience with CRT (Computed Radiotherapy) modules, and the ability to float within hospital or nearby affiliate facilities.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
Travelers are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year). The position involves working with adult and geriatric patient populations, with a daily census of approximately 35 patients. Candidates must be willing to operate within a 50-mile radius of Eureka, California, and comply with local radius rules. References covering 1 year (or 6 months if candidates are CNAs) are required, and a minimum of two references must be submitted prior to start. Vaccination requirements are not specified, and accommodations should be explored locally as housing options may be limited.
