Kitchen Equipment Technician

$1,000 Sign‑on Bonus A Brief Overview CGL is a provider of justice facility planning, design, and program management and maintenance solutions to justice facilities and other public facilities throughout the U.S. and internationally. CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. The kitchen equipment technician will be responsible for preventive and corrective work and minimal utility installations with our client. What You Will Do Perform preventive and some corrective maintenance services to existing kitchen equipment corresponding to work orders generated from a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Complete all documentation of work performed in compliance with the CMMS data collection process. Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, engines, pumps, belts, and fans. Perform other maintenance related work; knowledge of HVAC and/or plumbing is strongly preferred. Become familiar with the design and layout of the facilities quickly, learn the locations of installed environmental equipment, and understand operating procedures relating to environmental controls. Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and the standards of CGL Facility Management, OSHA, and our clients. Inspect completed work for conformance with local building and safety codes. Escort subcontractors during completion of their work at the site. Perform other preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as directed by CGL management. Maintain a clean and safe workplace while and after performing maintenance tasks. Complete all required compliance, safety, and developmental training as assigned. Assist in training other technicians, providing mentorship, oversight and direction. Enter work orders into the CMMS system per CGL policy. The position requires driving for the Company using either a company vehicle at any frequency from rarely to constantly, or a personal or rental vehicle to conduct company business more than 50% of the time. Must be able to pass a drug, background screen, and physical abilities test/motor vehicle record check if required per the position. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required) 4–6 years commercial kitchen equipment experience (preferred) Ability to read blueprints, as‑built drawings, and equipment schematics. Strong teamwork, work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to succeed while representing the firm with the best possible service to clients. Computer literate. Certifications may be required. Self‑motivated, ability to multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with clients. Experience maintaining dishwasher systems, dish conveyor systems, coolers, freezers, walk‑in coolers, ovens, broilers, ice machines, kettles, tilt skillets and refrigerators; diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; working knowledge of gas and electrical appliances. Valid driver’s license, in state (DL number). Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred. Compensation We offer a competitive and equitable compensation package.
