Network Dissemination Coordinator - Ft Campbell, KY Position Summary: In accordance with TBICoE HQ leadership, s/he will provide TBI dissemination support for various healthcare providers and members of the healthcare team who are involved in the care of service members and veterans with traumatic brain injury. In coordination with designated government leads (normally the government site director and the government lead(s) at TBICoE Headquarters), s/he will be responsible for a variety of duties to coordinate TBI knowledge for Service Members and veterans on the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of traumatic brain injury in partnership with TBICoE Research HQ and site-specific staff. Will deliver relevant research dissemination products to healthcare providers/clinicians and the military and civilian community on traumatic brain injury as necessary. Will conduct dissemination activities (e.g., provider education) to aggregate data on TBICoE product utility and training practices for internal evaluation efforts. Because this role provides both local site services and provides service on a regional basis, the individual must coordinate issues that affect network regional support (i.e. support that is outside the authority of the local government site director) with the TBICoE HQ government lead. Primary Responsibilities: Sources and disseminates relevant information from clinical and operational communities to guide MHS research questions. Conducts outreach activities to facilitate connections with operational communities at TBICoE Research Network Sites, promote targeted study enrollment, and maintain communication with relevant TBI communities. Assists in the dissemination of relevant TBI initiatives, as directed/approved by TBICoE HQ in collaboration with the Research and Dissemination Sections. Follows dissemination and implementation plans to facilitate dissemination of new clinical care standards of practice for TBI. Provides recommendations to TBICoE HQ government on data capture strategies related to product evaluation or implementation assessments. Supports and facilitates data capture activities with relevant clinical and/or operational communities to gather feedback on TBICoE products and initiatives (in collaboration with and as part of TBICoE HQ Implementation Science efforts). Works collaboratively with J7, Healthcare Operations, and DAD-MA to facilitate dissemination efforts to the TBI communities across the DHA. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Master's degree in health-related/clinical field (required). A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching on healthcare or related topics. 2 years of experience in the care of patients with TBI – in-patient, out-patient, or rehabilitation settings (Required). Experience with the development of education and training activities for the healthcare field; specifically for curriculum used to educate patients, healthcare providers, military line/unit leaders and the general public on TBI-related issues.. Prior experience within the DoD/VA systems of care strongly preferred. Knowledge: Knowledge of TBI, health care and care for the traumatic brain injured patient required. Experience with developing and teaching on healthcare topics and TBI required. Excellent communications skills to include: public speaking, facilitation, interpersonal, networking and building collaborations required. Must be able to work independently, as well as function as part of a team. Computer proficiency – software and hardware as related to educational program development for both presentations and database management required. Excellent time management and organizational skills, creativity and must be flexible a must. Adheres to legal, professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy. Physical Capabilities: Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to carry light items – up to 25 lbs. May encounter patients who are confused, agitated or abusive.
