Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel)

Location

Farmington, NM | Acute Care – Level III Trauma Center

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7PM – 7AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 48-bed Emergency Department (with flex space) operating under a team nursing and pod system model
• Manage a diverse patient population including ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, psychiatric, and substance abuse presentations
• Respond to and manage Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Moderate Sedation cases
• Operate unit equipment including Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, and Ultrasound Guided IV
• Document and manage patient care using Cerner EHR
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 in the Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track; fulfill a minimum of two weekends per schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; ADN required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Required certifications (must be AHA-issued): ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC
• Demonstrated experience with Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Moderate Sedation
• No call requirements; no float requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR
• Experience working with ESRD, COPD, CHF, psychological disorders, and substance abuse patient populations
