Contract | 20 Weeks | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio across a 29-bed unit
• Manage and monitor adult to geriatric patients presenting with diagnoses including sepsis, UTI, AKI, pneumonia, cholecystitis, and CHF
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within specialty, to other units, and to sister facilities as required and within scope of practice
• Participate in holiday coverage as scheduled and every other weekend as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact License required at time of submission
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions
• Must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible (locals under 50 miles are not accepted unless otherwise specified)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient populations
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
