Senior Network EngineerJob Location: Ashburn, VA Job Type: Fulltime Report to: Business Development ManagerJob PurposeAs Network Engineer you will be responsible for managing the network stack of global service offering in cloud/data centers, primarily in regard to design, setup, configuration, operation and improvement of enterprise class firewall systems, IDS/IPS, routers, switches and load balancers in physical and virtual environments. You'll work closely with IT Stack Engineers, Service Design Architects, Application Engineers, and Second Level Support Engineers. You'll support handling service requests, changes, incidents, and problems.Duties & ResponsibilitiesYou are responsible for the planning, design, installation, and administration of the network and system infrastructures in our global data centers.Analysing and troubleshooting IT infrastructure and network issuesMonitoring of the whole infrastructure to ensure the smooth functioning of the network infrastructure and connected IT systemsYou evaluate the cost/benefit of different solutions and different technologies for the network architectureYou identify architectural issues and gaps in security concepts and propose recommendations for improvements.You are responsible for the review and documentation for the configuration of network infrastructureLastly, you proactively promote the exchange of information from other service operating divisions to share ideas and make recommendations to resolve issuesOther Requirements: EssentialAt least 5 years of professional experience in the planning and implementation and operation of complex IT systems and globally distributed networks and thus have a sound and extensive knowledge of IT system and network architecturesNetwork TechnologiesJuniper SRX Series GatewaysJuniper QFX and EX Series SwitchesLoad Balancers (e.g., Traefik, Nginx, Seesaw or HAProxy)TCP/IP, BGP, OSPFNetwork analysing tools (e.g., tcpdump and wireshark)DesirableDCIM & IPAM tools (e.g., NetBox)IaC tools (e.g., Ansible)SIEM tools (e.g., GrayLog)System monitoring (e.g., Sensu, OpsGenie)Skills & AbilitiesGood English skills in speech and writing complete your profileAbout UsInterSources Inc, a Certified Diverse Supplier, was founded in 2007, offers innovative solutions to help clients on Digital Transformations across various domains and industries.
