Contract | Days | Expected 40 hours/week | Mixed schedule of 12-hour shifts (6:45a-7:15p) and 8-hour shifts (6:45a-3:15p) | On-call required (approximately 6 weekday call shifts and 2 weekend call rotations) | Weekend call required | Floating within scope required based on facility needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Neuro, Orthopedic, Vascular, and Transplant procedures
• Support high-acuity and trauma surgical cases in a Level I trauma environment
• Participate in on-call rotations, including weekday and weekend call shifts as scheduled
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units as required
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health records system
• Care for adult and geriatric surgical patient populations across an approximately 14-room Operating Room department

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Valid Pennsylvania RN license required at time of submission
• Experience in Total Joint, Neuro, Transplant, Vascular, and General Surgery cases required
• Experience with high-acuity and trauma surgical cases expected
• PA Fingerprints (Childline) required; must be completed within one week of contract signing - results may take 2-4 weeks to process
• Local candidates are welcome; applicants residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and a local rate differential applies

• Familiarity with common General Surgery procedures such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic surgery, thyroidectomy, and Whipple procedures
• Neuro OR experience including spinal fusion, craniotomy, cervical/lumbar procedures, and laminectomy/discectomy
• Orthopedic experience including total hip and total knee replacements, fracture procedures, and spine cases
• Vascular experience including carotid procedures, AV fistula repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, and abdominal aortic aneurysm procedures

• Opportunity to work in a large, well-equipped Operating Room supporting a diverse and complex surgical caseload across multiple specialties
