Job Title: General Maintenance Technician

1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 5a-3:30p

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Maintenance Technician for our 1st Shift. The ideal candidate will carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial equipment, including press, welding machines, and conveyor systems. The role requires hands-on maintenance on various systems such as conveyor systems, paint booths, large industrial presses, and welding machines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial equipment such as press, welding machines, and conveyors.
• Perform maintenance on mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, paint booths, large industrial presses, and welding machines.
• Work on your feet throughout the day, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• 1+ year of industrial maintenance experience or a graduate from trade school in maintenance or electro-mechanical engineering.
• 1+ year of preventive maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in pneumatics, welding, repair, motors, and gearboxes.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, especially in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic contexts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Candidates must have 1-2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to provide own tools for maintenance tasks.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large industrial manufacturing facility that is non-climate controlled. Despite the facility's age, it is well-maintained and safety is a primary concern. Depending on the work area, it may be loud, but all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
