More about our team: North Kansas City Hospital is 48-bed Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) located in NKC Health Main Hospital Building. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow! We have an amazing team with over 25 FT therapists! What you will do in this role: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Essential Functions Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapists using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary. Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist. Documents services provided and patient response/progress. Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Assists with patient discharge planning. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs. Non-Essential Functions Qualifications: Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state where services are rendered Associate's degree Required; Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required Current CPR certification Strong organizational and communication skills Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 30 days of hire Required Skills EEOC Statement Lifepoint Rehabilitation an Equal Opportunity Employer.
