Work Environment
This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to offer vital services from the comfort of your own home while still engaging with clients meaningfully. Our Community Health Clinic provides a collaborative team-based environment where mental health professionals work together to improve client outcomes. You'll have access to technology and tools that enhance telehealth services, enabling you to monitor progress and support clients effectively during virtual sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial intake assessments to understand the mental health needs of clients and establish rapport.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, targeting each client's specific challenges and goals.
- Provide evidence-based individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques.
- Regularly monitor and document clients' progress towards their treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal care.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and case managers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Educate and support clients' families, encouraging their involvement in the therapeutic process while fostering an understanding of mental health challenges.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role involves working with a diverse client population that includes individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Qualifications
- A valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.
- A master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
- Proficient understanding of mental health practices and the delivery of therapeutic services.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on building relationships and rapport with a diverse clientele.
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards of practice.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, providing therapy or counseling services.
- Specialized training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities and practices.
- Experience working with families and couples in a therapeutic capacity.
- Familiarity with telehealth methodologies and the technology used to facilitate remote care.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this full-time position is competitive, ranging from USD 52,000 to 100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
