Position:\tPrelicensed Outpatient Therapist

Classification:\tNon -exempt

Status: \t\tPT (<50 billable hours per pay period)

Essential Function: \tThis position is responsible for providing mental health outpatient counseling to clients and completing all required documentation to keep clients’ records updated according to legal/ethical guidelines of the profession. The clinician will strive to build a therapeutic rapport with their clients and provide appropriate evidenced-based treatment.

Daily Responsibilities and Duties:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
●\tProvide mental health therapy to clients within the scope of training/experience
●\tProvide case management services as necessary and/or communicate with other healthcare providers involved to advocate for other services as needed
●\tRespond to client crises as necessary and make recommendations to keep the client safe and ensure all company safety measures are followed
●\tMaintain caseload and provide excellent client care in addition to responding to clients within 48 hours of outreach excluding weekends, holidays and during time off
●\tComplete progress notes, with signature, and other documentation to keep client’s record up to date and submit billing within 24 hours of the session time
●\tAdhere to legal and ethical guidelines of the profession as well as adhere to “best practice” documentation and billing requirements
●\tMaintain a professional appearance and attitude in interactions with others
●\tComplete timesheet on a biweekly basis
●\tDevelop a rapport with clients in order to facilitate a healthy therapeutic relationship
●\tCollect correct payments from clients and schedule ongoing appointments. All payments must be collected and entered into the EHR within 48 hours of the session.
●\tSubmit insurance claims within 48 hours of session and communicate with billing as needed.
●\tReceive regular supervision from an approved clinical supervisor and keep appropriate documentation to show progress on completing the requirements to become licensed.
●\tDemonstrate self-motivated attitude and ability to perform responsibilities of position with limited supervision
●\tMaintain and update licensure and inform owner of any changes
●\tFollow and implement company policies and procedures as outlined in the company employee handbook
●\tKeep work area clean and organized
●\tDemonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and techniques and display a teachable attitude when learning a new skill
●\tPerform related work as assigned

●\tAn adherence to following HIPAA laws and confidentiality standards pertaining to patient information.
●\tMake decisions independently based on what is best for clients and the practice.
●\tMust be able to operate basic office equipment such as copier, telephones, scanning, etc.
●\tSpeak, write, read and understand the English language well enough to perform the essential duties of the job.
●\tPossess the dexterity to use the required tools to accomplish the tasks of the position.

Must be able to hear, see, use arms and navigate around work areas.

Education/Experience Requirements:
●\tMasters in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Doctorate of Psychology required.
●\tBeing eligible for and actively working towards licensure in the State of MT (LPC, LCSW, LSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist).
●\tPossess and demonstrate sound clinical and professional judgement.
●\tMust be able to use computer software, such as electronic health record and google docs.
