Put simply, we believe more soft surfaces mean happier homes.About the RoleAs the Production Supervisor, you will oversee day to day operations of the Ernesta Fabrication and Sample facility. This role reports directly into the Production Manager. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for meeting production forecasts and driving continuous improvement through the fabrication and sample process. They will help build the processes to ensure success. This role will ensure quality and safety of the operation while driving continuous improvement of fabrication as the business scales.What You'll Do:Play a key role in building a strong, motivated production team capable of consistently delivering high quality products including interviewing and hiring functionsMaintain a culture that prioritizes safety and quality through communication, action, and accountabilityDrive measurable gains in quality and line productivity by engaging operatorsEnsure production teams receive effective trainingSupport issue resolution including root cause investigation & foster an environment of continuous learning and improvementEnsure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas and monitor and coach employees on performanceSolve problems using data and develop quantitative measures of successManage inventory systems to ensure raw materials are readily availableCollaborate cross-functionally with peers within the building and with throughout ErnestaRun an efficient operation according to planned budgetsWork to meet and exceed all Key Performance Indicators.What You'll Bring:3+ year experience supervising teams of people in a manufacturing or distribution centerAble to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlinesCommunicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skillsStrong organization skills with meticulous attention to detailA curious mind and the ability for continuous improvement and learningComfortable working in the details of the business and have the ability to plan for the future as wellAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift 50 lbs unassisted.Ernesta is committed to inclusion.
