Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) - San Jose, CA or Fremont, CA

Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in your community? We are seeking an experienced RDA to join our team and help provide quality dental care to underserved populations in a community-based setting.

Position Details

• Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

• Pay: $32.00 Per Hour

• Schedule: 40 hours per week

• Shift Options: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

• Availability Required: Monday through Sunday based on clinic and event needs

• Start Date: ASAP

• Location: McKee Road Clinic

• Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials

• Take and develop dental radiographs

• Perform coronal polishing and apply sealants as permitted by licensure

• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventative care

• Maintain accurate patient records within EPIC

• Support community outreach and special dental events

• Float between clinic locations when operational needs require

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License

• Coronal Polishing License

• Sealant License

• Dental X-Ray License

• Passion for serving low-income families and diverse communities

• Ability and willingness to travel between sites as needed

• Strong communication and patient care skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of Registered Dental Assistant experience

• Bilingual skills highly preferred in:

• Spanish

• Farsi

• Vietnamese

• Mandarin

The Dental Assistant provides support to the dentist during patient care and completes the preparation of the room and dental tools/equipment. The Dental Assistant complete intake paperwork, update patient records, sterilize and organize dental tools, and assist during any dental procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or its equivalent

• Current License/Certificate within state of practice

• One year experience as Dental Assistant preferred

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
