Lead Project Accountant

RealREPP, a full-service recruiting firm, is partnering with a growing, nationally recognized construction organization to hire a Project Accountant Lead in undefined, undefined. The Project Accountant Lead oversees construction job costing and billing for a large, complex project and multiple smaller projects. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, vendor compliance, and effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle while supervising and mentoring a team of Project Accountants. Position Responsibilities Oversee accurate and timely processing of project financial transactions, job costs, and billings Ensure integrity of accounting systems, internal controls, and financial reporting Monitor project financials and prepare standard and ad hoc reports Maintain compliance with accounting standards and construction industry best practices Partner with the Accounting Senior Manager and Project Managers on financial strategy and project performance Lead implementation of new accounting policies, procedures, and process improvements Analyze and resolve complex accounting issues Supervise, train, and mentor Project Accountants; provide performance feedback Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field Construction industry experience preferred Experience with Lump Sum and Cost Plus/GMP projects Strong knowledge of project setup, cost codes, billings, and cost reconciliations Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment FANTASTIC All-In Compensation Package Includes EXCELLENT salary DOE + bonus 401(k) w/ 50% MATCH, NO CAP & IMMEDIATE vesting 100% paid medical, dental & vision Generous PTO Gym membership + discounted cell phone Strong work-life balance & continued career growth FSA, HSA, life & disability insurance, and MORE!
