Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:

The Operating Room RN for Women and Children's Hospital provides specialized perioperative care for pediatric patients from newborns to 17 years old. The role involves both scrub and circulate duties within a busy Pediatric OR unit, ensuring safe and efficient surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform circulating and scrubbed responsibilities in pediatric general OR settings.
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments, adhering to infection control standards.
• Assist with pediatric anesthesia induction and monitoring during procedures.
• Document surgical events accurately using Cerner and Accudose systems.
• Respond to emergency needs promptly, including IV starts and robotic procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active WV or Colorado RN license; pending licenses accepted.
• Possess at least 2 years of OR RN experience, including pediatric cases.
• Demonstrate experience with circulating and scrub roles in a pediatric OR.
• Certified in BLS, with ACLS and PALS preferred via American Heart Association.
• Have recent references from managers or charge nurses within the past two years.
• Be able to provide flu vaccination proof, with medical exemptions if applicable.
