Collections SpecialistEstablished in 1975, Financial Pacific Leasing, Inc. (a subsidiary of Columbia Bank), is a direct provider of small-ticket commercial equipment leases. FinPac originates business through partnering with vendors, third party originators and lessors nationwide. For over 50 years, these partners have relied on Financial Pacific to provide them with innovative financing solutions for their customers.About the Role:In this role, you will be responsible for recovering losses and deficiencies by way of litigation, forbearance agreements and other alternatives, minimizing dollars being charged off in assigned caseload. Ensures correct action is taken on bankruptcies. Performs all other duties as assigned by management.Meet and exceed company goals, particularly in Loss Prevention, in a professional and businesslike mannerCommunicate with lessees who are 90+ days delinquent via telephone, mail, personal contact, or other professional methods to collect monies owed to Financial PacificMaintain complete and accurate collection notes in the system to ensure clarity for others regarding conversations and arrangements with lesseesKeep monthly and year-to-date reports on individual resultsPossess knowledge of relevant legal, bankruptcy, and FCRA laws.Attempt to negotiate settlements before recommending external actions (attorney or collections)Evaluate guarantors' financial condition before pursuing lawsuits to ensure collectabilityThoroughly and accurately evaluate each assigned contract to maximize collection at minimal expenseUnderstand the details of each contract, including status, guarantor, equipment location, and equipment valuesProvide the highest level of customer service to all lessees, vendors, brokers, and staffMaintain confidentiality of all company informationEnsure regular and predictable attendance and punctualityDemonstrates compliance with all company regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changesFollows all company policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job specific trainingMaintain a working knowledge of the company's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job descriptionMay be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expertActively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the corporate culture in all actions and wordsTakes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulateEmbraces the vision to become "Business of Choice"May perform other duties as assignedAbout You:5+ years collections experience requiredCollection experience in a leasing/contract environment or equivalent preferredData entry skills and the ability to multi-taskAbility to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systemsConsistently demonstrates ability and willingness to builds relationships with associatesAbility to think critically and provide appropriate solutionsRequires reading, writing and basic math skillsThe pay range for this role is $23.00 - $26.00.The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location.
